Our eyes are the most important organ for finding out about the world around us, and, in turn, letting the world know you. We use our eyes to gain knowledge, to enjoy literature, reading, and painting. Our eyes help us carry on almost all of the activities of daily life. Our eyes measure only about an inch across; but, it is the only sense organ that can overcome great distances. Our eyes make the world almost limitless. We see light from stars many trillions miles away – and this light may have traveled through space for thousands of years. I always try to look into the eyes of the person with whom I am speaking because I believe that tells you a lot about that person and their interaction with you. Some people have peaceful eyes, some have friendly eyes, and some mean eyes. It always bothers me when a person won’t look at you when they are speaking – like they might be hiding something. Or, if they are scratching their head and not looking at you when they are talking makes me really feel uneasy. (Does their head itch or are they confused?) A person’s eyes can tell you a lot about that person. What do your eyes say about you?
