The union and Tyson Foods tried to sneak a fast one by the American workers.  They both negotiated to replace Labor Day with a Muslim holiday (Eid al-Fitr) which is celebrated at the end of Ramadan at the Shelbyville, TN plant.  This holiday pertains only to this plant.  The American Union requested the holiday thru negotiations due to the number of Muslims at this plant, who are political Somali refugees.  Several days later, the Tyson Press released a statement that reinstated Labor Day as a paid holiday, plus a personal day which could be taken for an employee’s birthday or the Muslim holiday, Eid al-Fitr.  Tyson then stated it does not offer workers a paid Muslim holiday at any of its plants.   As far as I can see this is a run-around.  Why are these people taking jobs  that could be held by Americans?  As Americans we must take a stand because our politicians are not protecting us or our jobs.  Any chickens at my house have flown the coop!  Me, I am beginning to like steak!
