PATIENCE AND PRUDENCE!

It is vacation time in Mexico.  The plane trip from San Antonio to Puerto Vallarta was a long, slow process.  The rain was coming down in sheets.  We arrived at the airport and the flight that was scheduled to leave before our flight could not leave the tarmac because of the lightening and rain.  They shifted our flight to another area across the room and my question was why are we loading if we cannot leave for the same reason.  The explanation was you will be loaded and ready to leave if the lightning doesn’t strike within 15 minutes.  So, we sat on the tarmac for about 2:30 minutes and then they told us we could leave the craft but stay in the area for a quick return.  Since we were starved, we left the plane and ate breakfast.  Shortly, they announced we would be reboarding.  After re-entering the plane and sitting for a while longer, the Captain announced we would be leaving.  It was a nice flight once we left the rain. The weather in PV was beautiful – sunny skies and warm.  We have learned early on that flying is not for the “impatient or the faint at heart” person.  You just have to roll with the punches. Adios!
