THE THRILL OF THE HACK.

The Chinese hackers are at it again.  They are trying to get into U.S. systems where they can steal money.  China is the largest country in eastern Asia and has more people than any other country.  It is a communist country so the people are in dire straits when it comes to jobs because most of  the people are farmers and are crammed into agricultural areas.  Fishing on the seas and rivers is another important industry.  The people are patient, industrious, and peace-loving.  They are known for their friendliness, their hospitality and their sense of humor; and, they have a deep sense of family obligations (in other words, the family takes care of the mother and father when they grow old and they do not put them in a nursing home).  Their bad trait is they like to copy/steal other countries inventions and that is why they commit the crime of hacking.  As we all know at White Sands, New Mexico, the Chinese scientists stole the atomic bomb secrets because the security was so lax.  A good example is when I was in Beijing visiting we were walking in Tiananmen Square and I had a battery-operated hand fan in my hand because it was so hot and this one man followed us around trying to see how the fan was built.  So, I stopped and turned the fan on and off and removed the battery.  He smiled and walked away and never said a word.  Probably went home and built one or drew the plans for one.  Hackers are one of a kind because their mind works differently, especially the computer hackers.  I worked with a man who could make a computer do anything because of his knowledge and mind.  He could hack his way into any of our office computers; but, in the end, it cost him his job.  One day, I asked  him, “when you hack and after you have finished the hack what have you accomplished. – besides breaking the company rules?  Doesn’t your twenty  years of service mean anything to you?  You know what happens when you get caught.”  His reply was, “just the power of knowing you can do it.”  So, to our Chinese hackers:  cheaters never win and winners never cheat.
