Abortion is in the spotlight with the Philadelphia abortion doctor who is on trial.  One statement heard was, “he was performing a service for the people.”  So do “hit men,” but it does not make it legal.  It is a disgrace to continue with this blight on our nation.  With 1.3 million abortions performed in the U.S.,  I think the country should rethink this law.  This is not the only city these horrors are being committed – remember the abortion doctor who was killed in Nebraska!  Abortion (murder) can be performed up to 24 weeks in Pennsylvania.  Twenty-four weeks is no different from putting a contract on someone’s life because that is what the country is doing.   A life is “home free” if you make it past 24 weeks – but not always.  A lot of young people are so devoid of intellectual, emotional, familial, or social resources that our eyes should be mystified.  We have to rethink this thing called, “life.”   Only under “specific circumstances” should an abortion be performed.  Not just because of laziness or an  “oops!”  In my mother’s day, if you became pregnant – the story told was the girl went to live with an aunt because the aunt was ill and  needed help.  If you danced – you paid the piper!
