Our troops were thanked today by the leader for their service and sacrifice in Iraq and fighting the Taliban. Further, he stated, that our troops “gave the people in Iraq an opportunity to forge their own future after many years of hardship.” Yes, that is true; but, what about the 4,000 soldiers that were killed and 30,000 wounded – what kind of future were they given? Why should we sacrifice our young people to witness the horrors of war and fight for people who show zero appreciation for this country’s sacrifice. All we do is shell out money to other countries and letting our country erode. The Middle East appreciates America like a snow cone in Hell! We should stay out of religious wars or civil wars.
