Do you know anyone that has bequeathed any money to a college in their will? It is something that should be reviewed by people and also the universities. The cost of tuition is rising beyond the reach of certain levels of society. With the amount of money these universities receive this should not be the case. People give money to their alma mater because they want others to have an easier time by giving scholarships but that is not happening to the degree that it should. The colleges are not using the money for what it is intended – they are building more and more buildings instead. When it cost $125,000 for a four-year bachelors degree something is not right in the universities. I think people should write their congressman because these colleges need to be investigated. There is not any reason in this world for the tuition rising to the degree it is and with jobs not being available for these people after graduation.
Another complaint is more equal representation in the professor area – we have too many liberal professors and not enough conservative professors. Therefore, the colleges are not being represented by both sides. The reason for this is the hiring committees all consist of liberals and they will not hire the conservative professors. Therefore, there is an imbalance in the teaching structure.
