Watching the news media for about a week makes me realize these people sensationalize everything that happens.   Last weekend when the winter storm was heading from the south to the north part of the country, these people were going bananas warning the people to such an extent it was ridiculous (stock up on water, etc., as if the people did not know to do this).  One reporter was talking about the number of inches Maine was going to have and the person he was interviewing spoke up and said – we have that every year.  Also, the reporting on the Dorner guy was so far over the top people were actually rooting for him.  Just give us the facts!

Good example, today on MSNBC, that lovely lady, Maddow?, threw out some breaking news by making a big issue of our young, handsome Republican Senator taking a sip of water while making a speech.  Just think how much money the advertisers spent to describe how he leaned over and gently picked up the bottle of water, then he held the bottle of water in his hand, the way he approached his mouth with the bottle, and then the way he wrapped his lips around the bottle for a drink of water.  Seemed like she went to a lot of trouble to describe  all he did was take a “swig of water.”
