If you have ever ridden on a bullet train going 350 mph I know you all know what a thrill it is, especially when you initially leave the station.  My mom always said:  You either go forward or backward – you do not stand still in life.  That is what we have let happen.  We have let our country go backward.  We are living in the dark ages because we have spent so much money on wars and trying to save the whole world.  With all of the money we give to all of these countries we could have good highways and bullet trains.
