The title of the program was “The Family that Fails Together” by Martin Bashir on MSNBC. He was having a discussion with a GOP representative from Tennessee. In this discussion they were discussing the low rate of attendance of children in school and the fact the parents do not care if the children attend school and sometimes they might show up at school at 11:00 o’clock in their pajamas. In order to hold the parents responsible a proposal was made “to cut aid 30% for struggling student’s families if the families did not become responsible” for their children to attend classes. Martin asked the question, “if a child comes to classes and has been abused” you are going to cut the aid to that family. What a question? The other question which I thought was irrelevant was “George Bush No. 2 attended school and had advantages that most children did not have and he did not excel.” Oh! Boy! And this is a talk show host! The only reason they had this GOP representative on was to make the GOP look bad – it looked like he held his own in trying to explain what the government was trying to achieve. Where did this Martin guy come from – outer space?
