Wasn’t that nice of Mayor Bloomberg to give all that money to John Hopkins?  That old university needs that money like I need a hole in my head.  Why didn’t he set up a committee and give it to his city to rebuild?   They could do the same thing that Hopkins can – they could put a plaque at city hall and say “all city repairs and new homes were paid for by our Mayor Bloomberg – 2013.”  Has a mayor ever done that before?  That would have really been newsworthy!
