Why are there subjects that our political parties hesitate to discuss with each other?  For years, you would not dare talk about “race” because you might offend someone.  Now they don’t want to talk about “mental illness” which is one of the oldest problems in the world.  I can remember as a child there were families who had a disabled/mentally ill child.  We never saw that child during our visits to that home.  Not until we were grown were we told there was another member of the family who was mentally ill.  I do not know where that person was kept while we were in that home.  Amazing how some people handle their problems – I guess you don’t know until you walk in those families’ shoes.
