Yes, children of officials should have protection; but, that same protection should cover every child in this country if that is what it takes to keep them safe.  Our world has changed so we have to change our way of thinking.  Remember, in the past we did not even have to lock our doors at night when we went to bed or close our windows.   It is sad – but,  even when you are home,  you still have to lock your doors while you are there. Don’t you lock your car when you leave it?  Don’t you lock your purse or billfold on your arm when you are out and about?  Don’t they warn you at the airport not to leave your luggage unattended?  The most precious cargo that you have to watch when you are out  is your children.  You cannot leave them alone for a minute.   It is not if we can afford it – it is a way of life.
