Thank you Brent Musburger, ESPN, for your lovely compliment to Katherine Webb, gal pal of A. J. McCarron (although you did get carried away, just a little). Women, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, when you receive a compliment – take it – and by all means use your manners with a big – “THANK YOU.” Although, this compliment seemed out of character for Brent, she did receive a lot of free publicity which I am sure she is thankful. There are still some gentlemen out there that don’t live in the Elizabethan period when men thought women ought to be relative to men – to please them and to be useful to them which is still vogue in the Middle East. We have watched Brent for many years and thought him to be professional in his calling of football games; but, it seems that in recent years, all announcers pick the team they want to win before the game starts. Then, they seem very partial throughout the game – which, in my opinion, ruins the viewing of the game. We spend more time criticizing the announcer than we do the game itself. I thought announcers were not supposed to show their partiality – just show equal partiality.
