Everyone is wondering why the Sandy Storm bill was held up by the House.  I can now see why Boehner held  up the bill.  Obama deliberately crammed so much pork into it that he knew that the house would not be able to pass it as it was proposed.  This was done to deliberately make Boehner look bad because of the time element it would take to review it.  The request from Obama was $60 billion which in addition to the storm it was crammed full of goodies for federal agencies and even the state of Alaska.  The pork included more than $8 million to buy cars and equipment for the Homeland Security and Justice departments.  It included a whopping $150 million for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to dole out to fisheries in Alaska and $2 million for the Smithsonian institution to repair museum roofs in Washington, D.C.  The next leg of the pig gave $13 million to mitigation projects to prepare for future storms????  More big-ticket items in the bill include $207 million for the VA Manhattan Medical Center; $41 million to fix up eight military bases along the storm’s path, including Guantanamo Bay, Cuba;  $4 million for repairs at Kennedy Space Center in Florida; $3.3 million for the Plum Island Animal Disease Center; and $1.1 million to repair national cemeteries.  Also, the lack of details and justification for all of these expenditures had to be examined.  This is another White House scam trying to make Boehner and the Republicans  look bad by piling this pork into this  bill knowing they could not pass it overnight.  Como and Bloomberg knew it would cause controversy and they saw to it that they made a lot of noise questioning the hold up.  Then the two of them started criticizing Boehner as to why this bill had not been passed since the people were in such dire need.  And then Christie has to chime in so he doesn’t look like he isn’t trying to make some headway for the money.  (Christie,  you should have called Obama directly since you are on a first-name basis  and since you could not reach Boehner.)  Typical democrat tactic to make the Republicans look bad.  It happened in Florida during the last election the democrats tried to make the Republican governor look bad because of the late vote count, and same thing during Katrina the democratic governor and mayor would not let help come in so Bush would look bad.  And, look how many people died and suffered because of  hate for the opposite party.  I have never seen such childish behavior in my whole life.  I have seen children who have more grown up intelligence then these people and you wonder why this country is in such a mess.  This behavior must stop!  The American people are so disgusted with this gamesmanship and so am I!  Just for your information:  Projected public debit added by our leader for one term is:  $6.477 Trillion.  Public debt added by the previous 43 presidents combined (1789-2009):  $6.307 Trillion.  So you can see our leader does not have any qualms about spending money since it is not his.
