Understand the ports’ unions are going to strike this weekend because the port authority wants to improve operations by installing more automatic  types of equipment at the ports which would make them more efficient.  The unions do not want this efficiency because it will reduce manpower but will make the ports more productive.  Just a note to the  unions – sorry folks, life does not stand still – you either go forward or backward.  So, you either move with the tide or you drown.  This strike will affect the ports from Boston, MA to Houston, TX and will hurt our trade deficit which we do not need.  Our Prez could step in to help alleviate this strike – we shall see whose side he is on.
