Instead of a Dear John letter there was an interesting letter on the internet which read:

Dear God:  Why do you allow so much violence in our schools?  Signed:     A Concerned Student.

The answer was very sobering:

Dear Concerned Student:  I’m not allowed in schools.  Signed:  God

My opinion:  In a lot of churches they discuss politics – so. if in the end we are all striving for the same place,  why can’t all Gods be in the public square – since most of us have a God – why can’t we celebrate that fact – those people who don’t have a God – let them celebrate in their own way.

We need to get back to the basics:  The ten commandments or whatever applies to your religion.
