Mexico is a lovely country to visit.  I have heard some stories that make you feel sad about the corruption; but, it is true in a lot of countries.  We have  not experienced any problems; but, I have heard one story that we try to avoid – and, that is do not “rent a car.”  Rent cars in Mexico have a certain license plate that are always targeted for a “shake down.”  It happens over and over.  We also all know not to take guns or any ammunition any where when you are travelling unless you have a permit and even then I wouldn’t because of the corruption.  I wonder what could those countries do to make things better for the visitors because at the rate things are going people are starting to go other places that are safe and they are losing a lot of tourist trade.
