Harvard University is a privately endowed school at Cambridge, Massachusetts. The name honors a young Puritan clergyman of Charlestown who, in 1638, left half his fortune and his entire library of some 400 volumes to the college. Management is provided by a corporation of seven Fellows, including the president and treasurer ex officio and by a board of Overseers, numbering 30. It has evolved into an alumni board elected at large. The curriculum and teaching methods are rigidly classical. I think that this Puritan clergyman probably is rolling over in his grave to see the university promoting “sex week” and entertaining the opening of a “Bondage Club.” What academic exercise could anyone gain from sex week? Did the professors guide them through this sex week by giving them an outline and expecting a written report of the outcome? And, now a Bondage Club. It sounds like the liberal professors are again straying off the reservation. We send our children to college to learn and what do we get – these colleges still trying to beak down the moral fabric of our country. Some one is not minding the store.
