The buzz around New York is that some of the hotels are harvesting bees on the roofs since they have ready access to the beautiful areas of Central Park.   There are 182 hives registered in New York.    If all goes according to plan,  300 pounds of honey  will be harvested each year.  The bees have been brought in from Georgia, California, and Pennsylvania.   Small town bees have finally made it to the big city.  In Texas, we eat a lot of honey.  As the story goes – if you eat honey from your local area – it will cut down on allergies.
