THE TAX MAN COMETH

Does anyone realize how many taxes are out there?  Such as:  accounts receivable tax, building permit tax, capital gains tax, CDL license tax, cigarette tax, corporate income tax, court fines (indirect tax), dog license tax, federal income tax, federal unemployment tax, fishing license tax, food license tax, fuel permit tax, gasoline tax (42 cents per gallon), hunting license tax, inheritance tax , inventory tax, IRS penalty tax, liquor tax, local income tax, luxury tax, marriage license tax, medicare tax, property tax, real estate tax, septic permit tax, service charge tax, social security tax, road usage tax (truckers), sales tax, recreational vehicle tax, road toll tax, school tax, state income tax, state unemployment tax, telephone federal excise tax, telephone federal universal service fee tax, telephone federal, state, and local surcharge tax, telephone minimum usage surcharge tax, telephone recurring and nonrecurring charges tax, telephone state and local tax, telephone usage charge tax, toll bridge tax,  toll tunnel tax, traffic fines, trailer registration tax,  utility tax, vehicle license registration tax,  vehicle sales tax, watercraft registration tax, well permit tax, and last but not least, workers compensation tax.  Whee – maybe we should have a Boston tea party and dump all of these in the ocean?  None of these taxes existed a hundred years ago.  Our nation was the most prosperous in the world, no debt,  the largest middle class in the world, and on top of that mom stayed at home and raised the kids.  Where did we go wrong?  Now an ex-congressman wants to propose a carbon tax – for us to live and breathe.  God Help Us out of this mess!
