Why are the movies so violent?  I am very concerned about the directors who produce these movies  –  I want to question their mentality.  The scripts they are selecting are not reality – cars and people flying through the air, buildings and people being blown up, and I could go on and on.  The Oscar is a symbol of excellence.  Gone are the days of: West Side Story, The Apartment, Gigi.  I can understand why people do not go to the movies, and, instead, stay at home and watch reruns.
