The dumbing down of our children did not just start yesterday.  It started many years ago.  I recall the first inkling of it during the Clinton administration with MODERN MATH – whereby four plus four did not necessarily have to be eight – it could be anything you wanted it to be – what?  That disappeared and then the districts started hiring people who were not qualified.  We must do a better job by our children.  It is up to the parents to make sure this happens by discussing with your children what is going on at school and visiting the school.
