In Texas the weather dipped to 26 this morning. The Longhorns and the Spanish goats even had enough sense to stay in the sheds. According to the weatherman, we will have nothing higher than 46 today and that is okay since there are Christmas cards to write.

While posting the cards with a few words of conversation, it struck me – it is so easy to talk because accuracy can be camouflaged in a blitz of phrases and adverbs – do people overlook accuracy in a conversation? Most people are masters at talking about problems and opportunities, actions and strategies and what is good or bad until you ask them to write it down on a piece of paper.
When it goes on paper, it is a matter of record and can be used to correct you in the distant future. And even talking now, if it is recorded, can do the same thing; but, talking beats writing any day. It is a lot more fun to listen to other’s ideas and then bat around their words with yours which can spur you on to a new idea.
Now back to writing Christmas cards in this new age of Trump where we do not have to be politically correct and can have a manger scene in our yard and say Merry Christmas out loud.

What is this world coming to?
